This is the first of my final three designs. I decided to keep it quite typical Elizabethan style but added a contemporary twist to it. I stuck to the pale white similar to the Elizabethan era. In that time period, the women had rosey red cheeks and rouge lips, I decided to stick to this but made it more modern. I made the cheeks quite red but more harsh than how an Elizabethan would have worn it. I also went with a darker red lip that has a slight tint of purple to it which I think works really well with the colour combination. I wanted to add some more colour to the face so I contoured the forehead with the same colour as the cheeks. To create a slight monochromatic but contrasting kind of look, I decided to go with an orange eyeshadow. I think this colour goes well with the red shades on the face. I went for an interesting eye design by applying the eyeshadow on the outer corners of the eye and not putting any on the inside of the eyes. I think this style looks quite Avant Garde/Catwalk. For the eyelashes, I think I'll use mascara and not false eyelashes as I want the main focus on the eyes to be the eyeshadow. I also went for a typical Elizabethan makeup look and blocked out the eyebrows.
